This policy explains what personal data HealthMotiveHub (healthmotivehub.com and its social media accounts) collects, why, and what your rights are. HealthMotiveHub is an independent, one-person project based in the Netherlands. Questions about this policy or your data: healthmotivehub@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Usage data. Pages visited, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location (country/city level) and referring site, collected through Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) and Microsoft Clarity. Clarity may record anonymised interactions such as clicks and scrolling to help us improve the site.
- Advertising. Google AdSense may show ads on this site and use cookies or similar technologies to do so, including for personalised advertising where you have allowed it. You can manage Google’s ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
- Affiliate links. When you click an Amazon, Viator or GetYourGuide link, that partner sets its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. We receive a commission report, not your name or payment details.
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, leave a comment or email us, we receive your name, email address and message.
- Technical logs. Our host and security plugins process IP addresses for security and to keep the site running.
We do not sell personal data and we do not collect special categories of data such as health information about you.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- Analytics and advertising cookies: your consent, where required by law.
- Answering messages and moderating comments: our legitimate interest in responding to you and keeping the site free of spam.
- Security logs: our legitimate interest in protecting the site.
- Affiliate commissions: our legitimate interest in earning from referrals, which is how this site is funded.
Social media and TikTok
HealthMotiveHub publishes content to its own accounts on Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X and TikTok. Our TikTok integration is used only to upload and publish videos to the HealthMotiveHub TikTok account and to read that account’s basic profile and video list. It does not collect, store or process data about other TikTok users. When you interact with us on a social platform, that platform’s own privacy policy applies.
Who processes your data
Our hosting provider, Google (Analytics, AdSense), Microsoft (Clarity), Automattic (Jetpack) and our email provider act as processors or independent controllers for the parts described above. Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (14 months at most). Messages and comments are kept as long as needed to deal with them, or as long as a comment is published. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, request a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email healthmotivehub@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
